Asturias is a cool part of Spanish coast. I am enjoying glass of nice spanish vine and tapas while surfing the web. I am in the old town of Gijon the biggest city of Asturias. Town has really nice ambience whith all small vinaterias and regions popular siderias. Especially on the weekends streets fill up with people and sideria is flowing donw the street. Waiter is pouring the drink for you from good height for activating all the other good things beside alcohol. Your part is to drink the whole glass.

traditional way of pouring Sidra

The coastline reminds me of Ireland with the cliffs, small coves and beaches and all that green. Around Gijon the coast is quite bizarre with eucalyptus forrests mixed with huge factories. In the lineup of playa Xivares in is strange warm current possibly coming from one of these massive factories. It is getting really cold, so I will just enjoy it hoping there is not too much radioactivity. Driving other direction from Gijon I found this amazing small beach without the industry. Perfect waves and nobody around.
