Humanure is simply composted shit as described by Joseph Jenkins.

‘Surely there is a better way than to defecate into clean, treated water and then ‘clean it again using chemicals and vast quantities of energy? If we had to clean our own drinking water at home, I’m certain that we would not flush our toilet into it!’
